 Candy came today and we spent 3 hours getting to know eachother.She works very hard and is very nice. We discussed what we would do next week and I shall see her next Tuesday.           best wishesCandy is still coming and she is absolutely great and is a pleasure to teach.

Léo , 7 ans, apprend par le jeu à maitriser une autre langue,We have just completed our first session with Leo. He was delightful and worked and played hard for 3 plus hours. We have made an introductory book for him that will pass between us and his parents each time he visits us, so that they know what our agenda has been and how he is progressing. I also included a 'feedback sheet' for Leo to complete so that we can find out what he enjoys and finds useful. He baked 14 cakes for a family party that he is having this evening. He obviously only has limited english vocabulary as yet as he is only 7 years old but he was very happy to try everything we presented him with. We expect that he will visit every two weeks on a wednesday when we are in France.

Mme P. lui  a donné un résumé des phrases apprises durant la séance ,qu'il doit relire pour la séance suivante.Pour ma part , M. est très agréable  et nous avons parlé anglais durant 3 heures . J'étais fatiguée  à la suite de ce cours mais ravie.Le bilan est donc positif et il nous tarde de revoir nos professeurs.   Candy The work with Leo seems to be going well. He is now coming every two weeks when we are in France. I ask him to give me feedback each week on the different activities that we do. So far, in response to my question 'What have you not enjoyed doing this week?' his response has been 'rien du tout'!. We have developed a programme with him that includes physical activities as well as writing, reading and playing board and card games in english. Each week we prepare a booklet based on his interests and a vocabulary sheet. He takes these home to share with his parents and reinforce vocabulary. He doesn't speak much english as yet but we only speak english to each other and to Leo and he seems quite comfortable with this. We report his progress each week to his parents. We are enjoying the experience!

 Victor, 10 ans, a voulu tenter l’expérience de l’immersion comme sa grande sœur… The weekend went very well and I think Victor enjoyed his time with us.  He was quite happy as he already knew us through his sister we all got on very well  

Charlène, 13 ans, a fait un weekend d’immersion pour préparer une semaine complète cet été… « Charlène est une fille très amicale - je suis très contente avec elle. »Mon séjour chez L. s’est très bien passé. Elle est gentille, calme et bonne cuisinière!! Elle m’a appris de nouveaux mots et on a revu des leçons non acquises.On a joué à des jeux de société comme le monopoly anglais, jeux de cartes que je ne connaissais pas... je lui ai appris un jeu de carte.On a aussi joué au ping pong. Elle a de très mignons petits chiens et une magnifique maison!Il me tarde d’y revenir cet été. A bientôt.  

Un an après les deux premiers séjours, Pierre, 15 ans, est revenu passer quelques jours dans sa famille d’accueil… Pierre has had his first visit for this year; it was a pleasure.

We provided three lessons a day varying between one hour to one and a half hour duration for each lesson; depending on the subject matter. His English grammar knowledge is very good so there was a greater focus on speaking and reading aloud. Yvonne was able to use the materials she had acquired at her TEFL (Teaching
English as a Foreign Language) course in Cambridge. Lots of talking in-between in English plus a visit to Gouffre de Padirac for an afternoon. He also had a computer - orientated lesson based on English "Skillswise" and "Bitesize" programmes.

 Alexandre, 18 ans, en prépa d’école d’ingénieur doit préparer le Cambridge First Certificate de façon intensive, il a choisi la formule deux jours de stage AALEC et 5 jours d’immersion: A brief report of the programme undertaken on Alexandre's stay with us.As you had indicated  - a most pleasant, well-mannered young man. He really worked hard on his studies during his stay, to the extent he turned off his mobile phone so that his friends could not contact him as he would have spoken to them in French!Yvonne and I provided approximately five hours of structured lessons per day (sometimes, more was provided) - 10am to 1.00 then 4.00-6,00pm. We worked on grammar -spelling - much work on tenses - writing reports/letters  - reading aloud to us. The afternoon session involved a computer input - using various programmes to provide a relevant input to his language skills.After lunch each day, we would undertake an activity together. Wednesday - walking from Bouzies - Chemin de Halange - to St Cirq Lapopie. Thursday - cycling off-road for two hours on the tracks/lanes around Orniac. Friday - as Alexandre really likes the outdoor adventure lifestyle we paid for him to spend the afternoon at the Kalapca Outdoor Activity centre doing a "parcours - acro-roche" activity (We politely declined to take part).We tried to give him an "English" experience - English sausages for bbq; I cooked him an Indian curry (Tikka Massala (spicy hot) and Korma (mild, sweeter curry) which he obviously enjoyed.Obviously, we spoke English all the time/ English tv etc. He even succumbed to reading TinTin - English version as bedtime reading?The English examination he has to sit in in Year 2 of his engineering course is certainly of a high standard. From our aspect it was stimulating to be working towards providing a high standard of English education. 

Paul, 12 ans, est prêt à recommencer…Paul est revenu enchanté de son séjour et est prêt à renouveler l'expérience sur 4, 5 jours semaine 34 ou 35. I am happy for Paul to come on the 21/22 to 26 August  I am more than happy to do an hour or so each morning on an individual basis and during each day I will arrange for an activity to be done with the family, either cooking, playing board games, visiting family and friends, craft sessions etc.  We only have television in English and I will ensure that the children do not talk to our guests in French. We very much look forward to welcoming Paul into our home.

Second séjour: Just to let you know that Paul seems to have settle in very well. He is a very polite boy and you must be very proud of him.
The boys went swimming today in my English friend's pool and they had a great time. Paul is a lovely boy and seems to be enjoying himself with us. His English is very good. We have done some work with punctuation, sentence building, reading out loud, past, present and future tenses

Tout s'est bien passé. Je m'entendais bien avec tous les membres de la famille ,sauf quand nous nous sommes battus avec Adam mais cela s'est bien terminé car nous sommes allés faire du vélo ensemble

Je parlais pratiquement tout le temps anglais sauf quand je ne comprenais pas (adam ou james m expliquaient)

  Amélie, 12 ans, a profité des talents d’artiste d’une peintre reconnue…Le séjour d'apprentissage d'anglais s'est très bien passé, nous avons fait beaucoup d'activités intéressantes (vélos, accrobranches, balades au bord du Lot, les filles sont allées faire leur cours d'équitation et K. et moi avons dessiné les chevaux, visite de la ville, jeux de mimes, dessins, d'ailleurs j'ai pu profiter de son atelier au rez-de-chaussée...). Cela m'a beaucoup aidé à approfondir mon vocabulaire et ma moyenne a augmentée. L'accueil était très bien et la chambre aussi. Je ne me suis pas ennuyée et le temps est malheureusement passé trop vite à mon goût. J'aimerais y retourner un jour, cela m'a beaucoup motivée. K. et les deux filles étaient très gentilles (H. était la tout le séjour et G. aussi, nous avons beaucoup de points communs, ce qui était moins stressant pour moi et sûrement pour les prochaines personnes à aller dans cette famille, nous avons décidé de rester en contact en anglais mais aussi en français.

Merci pour ce séjour à Cahors qui m'a permis d'apprendre beaucoup de choses et me rappeler aussi beaucoup d'autres, tout ça dans un environnement agréable et convivial. Je me suis fait plaisir en parlant anglais ce que je ne croyais pas possible avant ce séjour. Mes après-midi avec Isabelle étaient très bien et j'ai appris beaucoup de choses à ses côtés. Elle parle vite, il faut se concentrer et finalement on fait des progrès.

we are having a good time with Fanny and Claire. We have had good communication with their parents and the girls phone home every night. We have had two visits to places of interest and also been to visit english friends and been shopping. The girls are enjoying the swimming pool, the trampoline and the garden. Each day we work on pronunciation and vocabulary and they are keeping a diary, in english, of the day's events. The children are completing a "feedback" sheet so we know what type of activities to provide the next day. They are gaining in confidence and today watched a DVD in english with no subtitles.

J'avoue avoir été bluffée par la facilité avec laquelle Corentin s'exprimait en Anglais. Certes tout n'est pas parfait, mais il semble très à l'aise. Le stage, j'en suis sure n'y est pas étranger.En ce qui concerne le déroulement de la semaine chez Mr et Mme P., nous avons été très satisfaits. Ils sont vraiment très professionnels dans leur approche et très sympathiques.J'en ai beaucoup parlé autour de moi, nombreux ont été très surpris: faire une immersion en anglais à Padirac...Mais en expliquant, le procédé tous l'ont trouvé très intéressant. Pour ma part je n'exclus pas de renouveler l'opération l'année prochaine.Merci pour l'attestation 

Guillaume, 14 ans, Belgique, revient cette année pour un deuxième séjour … Claudine, Juste ce petit mail pour vous signaler que nous avions bien déposé Guillaume hier après-midi chez les A. qui ont l'air très sympathiques, ils emmenaient déjà Guillaume hier soir à un concert de blues à Cahors et avaient plusieurs idées pour occuper sa semaine. J'espère seulement que le temps va s'arranger... Bon été et je vous donnerai des nouvelles après son séjour comme l'an passé. Guillaume a fait deux tests Elementry et Low Intermediate pour établir son niveau. Il a fait comme j'attendais: 30/40 et 27/50 J'ai expliqué les points de Grammaire. Il a un devoir journalier.
Il fait du bricolage avec Bill, il lit, il cuisine, il regarde des films en Anglais.
Il comprend bien pour son âge: 14ans, mais il ne parle pas encore beaucoup (comme attendu!)
Je lui ai expliqué l'importance de communiquer en Anglais dans le monde: il a envie de devenir architecte, et qu'il FAUT profiter de l'opportunité de PARLER aussi tôt que possible.

Il me parait être confortable chez nous

Bonsoir,Il est très tard mais je prends la peine de vous répondre juste à notre  retour de Paris car je ne suis pas sûre que vous ayez reçu mon Sms après  l'atterrissage de l'avion de Guillaume vers 19h30 ?
 Il est revenu très content et a beaucoup raconté sur son séjour ce qu'il  fait rarement, c'est la preuve qu'il s'est bien amusé je crois !
 La petite maison pour oiseaux est très jolie et Margaux était très  contente de son bracelet acheté par Guillaume à Castelnau. Le trébuchet  était déjà monté hier soir et essayé dans la chambre de l'hôtel à Paris...sans dégât heureusement.
 En tout cas, encore merci pour votre accueil et la manière dont vous vous  êtes si bien occupés de Guillaume.Bonjour!
 A la fin de la semaine je vous envoie un petit reportage de notre semaine de travail! (sans parlant de la cage aux oiseux, construction de modèles, cuisine, puzzles etc!)Compréhension: très bien
 Oral: Très bien
 Anglais à écrit: Il répond aux questions avec facilité , apprend nouvelle grammaire, mais
 quand il doit décrire ses idées sur papier il a des problèmes.....  mais
 il faut rappeller qu'il n'a que 14 ans.
 J'ai présenté 2 tests, Elementaire et Intermédière,  première fois il a fait des erreurs, mais après les avoir corrigé, il a refait les tests aujourd'hui, et mieux fait.
 Il est motivé et intelligent, avec une manière et attitude tout à fait sympa.
 Je suggère qu'il écrit tous les choses que je lui et donné en crayon sur son ordinateur.
 Aussi il serait bien d' acheter des livres en Anglais (Horribles Histories par example) et parler en Anglais aussi tôt que possible en famille! 

Adrien, 15 ans, habite à Paris. Après une expérience au Etats Unis et en GB il a choisi le Lot cette fois pour un séjour linguistique…Hello again
Adrien is delightful! We are impressed with his understanding of english. He is willing to try everything that we suggest and we are currently working on his pronunciation and reading out loud. He is a quick learner. He is also enjoying exploring the local area. His confidence and vocabulary is growing each day. We wish the weather was a little better though!!

"Salut Claudine, c'est Adrien. je voulais te remercier car ce séjour a été super. Généralement le matin, il n'y avait rien de spécial: je me levais et prenais mon petit déjeuner et travaillais environ 1 heure avec John et Jill sur ce qu'on avait fait le jour précédent, et sur ce qui m'avait plu et déplu. Après le midi, ou plutôt vers 14h, on déjeunait et ce qui était bien avec John et Jill, c'est qu'ils cuisinaient eux même et que chaque jour, c'était différent. L'après midi, on faisait plein de choses différentes en fonction des jours: on visitait des villages, ou des grottes, ou bien je les aidais à tondre la pelouse ou à ranger des choses. Sinon, j'avais également du temps libre. Après je travaillais de nouveau 1H où je devais dire dans un journal en anglais, ce que l'on avait fait pendant la journée. Puis, traduire des textes et répondre à des questions. Vers 18 ou 19H, on dinait et après, on regardait la télé en anglais puis j'allais me coucher. Avec eux, ce qui était bien, c'est qu'ils étaient toujours de bonne humeur, et ce qui était sympa, c'est que j'ai rencontré plein de leurs amis (français et anglais). Bon je sais que je dois te dire ce que j'ai aimé et ce que j'ai moins aimé: j'ai tout aimé. Et si l'année prochaine je reviens, j'aimerai que cela soit dans la même famille."

Thibault et son copain Pierre, 14 ans, ont progressé chacun à leur rythme…Hello, it's thibault.The english camp was really nice and I learnt a lot of english. M. and B. were very nice. There was no problem in Figeac. I think all is O.K.  thank you Bonjour, le séjour s’est bien passé. L’accueil était très bon. Je pense que ce séjour a été bénéfique pour Pierre cependant sa participation est restée difficile au regret de M. Je pense qu’il manquait encore de maturité pour fournir les efforts d’adaptation nécessaires à la réussite de ce séjour immersion. De mon côté, je trouve que l’organisation du séjour au vu des éléments remis par M. et de notre rencontre était très bien maîtrisée : temps de travail de 2h / jour, activités et journal de Pierre.  

Adrien, 15 ans,Bonjour,Notre fils Adrien a passé 5 jours chez un couple charmant, Mr et Mme R., qui l'ont très bien accueilli, l'ont mis en confiance ce qui a facilité une communication régulière et fructueuse. Il a ainsi pris conscience de sa réelle capacité à communiquer en Anglais, hors du cadre scolaire, et des manques en vocabulaire sur des termes simples de la vie quotidienne.Pour nous, ses parents, ce séjour était avant tout un premier essai de mise en contact directe avec des anglophones pour renforcer cette confianceMerci pour votre géniale initiative, un compromis très intéressant pour des enfants ( et des parents) qui ne veulent (peuvent) pas encore faire le" grand" saut d'un séjour linguistique dans le pays pour diverses raisons. Nous ne manquerons pas d'en parler autour de nous.Bonnes vacances et à bientôt peut être...Adrien a 2 frères plus jeunes qui pourraient être tentés par l'expérience.

We, of course, were so pleased to have such a positive response and that Adrien had felt comfortable with us.  We really enjoyed having such a delightful young man to stay .He seems so mature for his years and was not shy about using his English and didn’t give up when words were difficult.He also  helped us with our poor French in a very adult way! We would be delighted to have Adrien here at any time and to think that his younger brothers might also at some time in the future visit us would be a happy prospect.We have been thinking  about Adrien enjoying his new bike. BONJOUR AALEC (où plus précisément Claudine) !!!!!!!!!
Je suis désolée de ne pas avoir écrit plus tôt.
J'ai vraiment passé une semaine incroyable chez la famille W.
Le premier jour (mardi) a été plus que difficile! Je l'avoue, je me suis vraiment sentie mal. Je ne parlais pas, je répondais à leurs questions par "Yes" ou "No", ce n'était vraiment pas très productif. 
Mais le mercredi ça allait  déjà mieux. J'essayais de répondre par de  plus longues phrases. J'ai pu voir l'actualité et des séries anglaises  à la télévision. C'était vraiment difficile mais P. m'a mis le sous titrage instantané (en anglais je précise) afin de mieux  comprendre! J'ai eu la chance de voir "Le Tour de France" en anglais,  ce qui m'a fait beaucoup rire. J'ai aussi feuilleté les magasines de  mode de Y. et ai lu "The Twits" de Roald Dahl avec Paul. Avec  Y. j'ai pu lire les cinq premiers chapitres de "The Go-between" de  L. P. Hartley, j'ai pu les écouter et ai pu visionner le film en  entier! J'ai enfin compris la Grammaire (Les temps)

Je remercie  infiniment la famille W. pour m'avoir aidé à comprendre!
Comme il n'a pas fait très beau je n'ai pas pu faire de canoë, mais  nous avons quand même fais des après-midi sortie! Nous sommes allés à Rocamadour, à Figeac, et à St. Cirq Lapopie.
Je me suis vraiment amusée. Et je pense recommencer l'an prochain.

Dear Claudine,Charlotte was great - worked so hard everyday. Followed our usual format - lessons all morning 10-1300hrs. She was very good at grammar. improved greatly with her speaking . Her written work i.e comprehension; writing stories linked to her visits improved as she became more confident with her language skills. We visited Rocamadour; St. Cirq Lapopie; Figeac and the Chemin de Halange walk. She produced a slideshow presentation linked to the photographs of the visits. She had to produce a written description of each slide. I think she enjoyed herself - lots of good solid English food -Shepherd's pie; sausages and mash.She even watched English "soaps". More importantly, we really enjoyed having her stay with us! Like lots of students she needs to have more confidence in her English language skills and more opportunities to practice. Best Wishes, P. and Y.

Voici les impressions de Caroline concernant son séjour chez M et Mme C:

Caroline a fortement apprécié son séjour, une famille très gentille à tout point de vue s'occupant de Caroline, la faisant participer à toutes sortes d'activité, communiquant avec elle en anglais ce qui lui a permis de bien améliorer son niveau.

Je recommande tout particulièrement cette famille.Hi Claudine  Just to let you know that the week with caroline went quite well.  Sport was the main event of the stay which included Canoeing on the cele, climbing at Capnature, cycling, and hiking.  Indoor activities such as sewing (she made her sister a little handbag) cooking and scrabble were necessary due to the poor weather but we had a text from caroline once she arrived at her grandparents house to say thank you and that she had had a great time. Caroline's listening skills were outstanding so it was full english but i must say that she was reluctant to start a conversation, even though her spoken english was very good, I did set her little oral exercises to encourage her to speak first. To finish off her stay we enjoyed a meal at a restaurant in Douelle on her last night. 

Thibaut, 17 ans, hallo ClaudineThibaut was very good and very quick! So a pleasure to have. He seemed to have enjoyed it and is coming back in August.Thibaut est donc parti en juillet et août chez M. et B.

Il est revenu ravi de ses 2 séjours, a eu un bon contact avec eux (nous aussi) et se sent prêt à participer davantage aux cours d'anglais à la prochaine rentrée.
Nous sommes très satisfaits du système de l'association Aalec.

My parents are teachers, and I have a small brother, Simon, who is 11 years old. I was born in Soudia Arabia , and I lived in 4 contrys : Soudia Arabia, Mayotte, Angola and France. I like traveling. I ride since 2 years, and I have my horse : Quismi ! I also like playing football and handball (even if I'm not very good). I looove take picture and after modifying them ! I have seen on a picture you have a dog, I like dog very much. I already stayed with an English family last year and I learned a lot althought I'm a bit shy.

 Tout d'abord, résumons cette semaine en un mot : génial !! J. est vraiment très gentille et c'est une très bonne cuisinière ! Il se sont occupés très bien de moi, que se soit Jill ou les enfants. Grace à eux j'ai pu découvrir les joies de la moto ! Nous somme allés a la piscine et a l'acro branche , et j'ai pu déguster la cuisine anglaise , qui n est pas mal du tout ) je ‘ espère qu’ une chose , c'est qu'ils aient de la place pour moi l'année prochaine ! Rémi, 13 ans, a pu pratiquer sa passion en version anglaise, la cuisine…Hi Claudine

I know that the family intends to visit you this week so here is a little report you can look at and/or share with them:
Rémi is a delightful young man who has fitted into the "family" very well. He has enjoyed (and been very useful) helping Bill construct the roof of an "abri" by the pool. he loves the swimming pool. His favourite activity was cutting the grass on the tractor. He enjoyed cooking, especially baking his speciality chocolate cakes.... he seems talented in this area. Bill explained that in order to become a choclatier he will still need to work at his studies                             He understood us very well in simple conversation, but is not yet able to offer conversation himself . Having said that, what adolescent can, even in their native language?!!!!!!
He liked to sleep as long as allowed!
I did do some hours of formal teaching in the mornings with him; eg looking at a picture and describing it using specific points of grammar like prepositions, various tenses; comprehension exercises

Le séjour chez B et R  a permis à Rémi de s'apercevoir qu'il était capable de parler et de comprendre je lui fait écouter les CD qui vont avec son livre et j'ai aussi acheté un autre:A2 B2I anglais- il s'y intéresse donc je m'aperçois que le séjour lui a fait du bien

Emeline, 14 ans, voulait gagner en confiance  Bonjour, j'ai été 5 jours en immersion chez L. S. Elle m'a très bien accueillie et j'ai passé là-bas une agréable semaine. Avec L. j'ai pu jouer au ping pong, au scrabble, et à divers jeux de cartes. J'ai aussi pu me baigner. Chaque jour, elle me faisait faire divers exercices : de la lecture à haute voix pour corriger ma prononciation, de l'expression écrite et des exercices de grammaire. J'ai ainsi appris l'impératif, à réserver des billets d'avion ou une chambre d'hôtel. J'ai aussi regardé 2 films et l'US open de tennis en anglais. De plus, j'ai trouvé les repas très bons. Un soir de la semaine, nous sommes sortis manger avec 3 de ses amis anglais. J'avais peur de ne rien comprendre, mais ils ont parlés de façon à ce que je les comprenne et tout c'est bien passé. Je pense que ce séjour a été une expérience enrichissante qui m'a permis de prendre confiance en moi à l'oral, de m'améliorer et d'apprendre de nouvelles notions.

I am very pleased that Emeline enjoyed herself and found the five days enlightening! She was very nice, quite quiet but easy to have around and she tried really hard with her English, she was very diligent and is obviously a clever girl. 

Pierre , 15 ans, ne s’est pas ennuyé entre les leçons, les visites et les activités sportives…we had lessons in the morning - three lessons from 10.00 to 1pm.I would teach for two lessons and Y. for one lesson usually. In the afternoon we would indulge in some type of activity - Monday afternoon we went to Bouzies and walked along the Chemin de Halage; drove through St Cirq Lapopie. Tuesday afternoon - cycling. Wednesday morning - we paid for Pierre to take part in the acro-roche session at the Kalapca Activity Centre - 9 to 12.00. Thursday and Friday - Pierre had become very friendly with the English family staying in the gite. They had a son, David, 8 years old, who was very lively and a daughter, Katie,13 years old. They invited Pierre to swim with them in the afternoons and play Yahtzee on the terrace in the evenings. Therefore, Pierre was talking to them in English - reluctantly at first but, more confidently later. Y. had taken photographs of Pierre on his walk, he used these photographs in a powerpoint presentation - photo plus his description in English. He also, wrote up in English his account of the acro-roche activity with Y's guidance.  

 Hello,I'am very happy to have made this Immersion because Y. and P. were good teachers. I did some sport : biking, swimming and acroroche. We visited Rocamadour and Saint Cirq Lapopie. I ate for the first time  English food

It was a very good experience.Bye Pierre 

Sebastien ,14 ans, a vite oublié son appréhension…   arrived Sunday evening with his parents. Initially, very nervous but gradually, became more confident in his spoken English. Same format as for all our students - three lessons in the morning; lunch then "fun" activity in the afternoon; followed by a session in the evening. Same activity sessions as Pierre - walk (Monday) and acro-roche session at Kalapaca but on Wednesday afternoon this time. He was very interested in VTT so went cycling on my cycle whenever he could - plenty of swimming when our English family were not using the pool. He would always find something to do - listen to his music; read or work on the computer. He seemed to really improve in his spoken English. Sebastien appeared to enjoy the whole English experience - ate everything we gave him (Shepherd's pie; baked potato with fillings; jamaican chicken; roast pork and vegetables; chicken and ham) and usually asked for more! Similarly, we spoke to his parents who wanted him to return for more lessons but we suggested about using shorter but intense teaching and learning sessions. They were keen on weekend work - we told them to book it through you for next April onwards.  

Paul, 14 ans, a beaucoup progressé…As the week progressed, Paul became more confident and there was certainly an improvement in his English. We made sure that he had plenty of lessons - of different types ; memory; computer; recall; comprehension; reading; - six lessons yesterday. He did have a recreation activity - canoeing on the Lot with Kalapca for Wednesday afternoon; walking with Y. and cycling. 

Emma, 12 ans, était très motivée malgré l’appréhension    Emma is an amazing twelve year old - so full of confidence and willing to "have a go" at speaking English! She's extremely amusing and easy to entertain. Her English is very limited as she has only been learning for a year so I haven't done too much with her verbs etc but have tried to concentrate on improving her vocabulary, pronounciation, comprehension and general grammar rather than teach her more technical things - as I don't want to confuse her too much. She's very easy to have around and is the current Monopoly Queen at Le Pech!!!!

I don't think I've laughed so much for a long time! She's been a real pleasure to have here and always offers to help. I shall miss her when she leaves today.

I send you the report of my stay at C.'s home. This stay was awesome. M., M. and C. are very, very nice
During a week, They made me to visit their region what is beautiful, i made a chocolate cake and i could learn the english.
During this stay, i had a sort of trigger. I understood my problems in english and what i miss me (prepositon, a little vocabulary...)
I understood also that I'd need to speak in english more often and to think in english. I was surprised to speak in English with M. and M. even if i miss me some words and i was surprised also to think in english. I learnt a lot of words and expressions

My name is Sandra. I am eleven years old, almost twelve (my birthday is on the eleventh of October). I have got two sisters. Their names are Chloe and Lola. Chloe is nine years old and Lola is six. My mother’s name is Corinne. She is a professor at the university. My father’s name is Stephan. He is a teacher in a college. I live in Vigoulet-Auzil, near Toulouse, in the Southwest of France. I do several sports: swimming, tennis, gymnastics, skiing, scuba diving, rollers blade, bike... And maybe I will go horse-riding. I also play the guitar and I love listening to music and singing, reading o drawing. I am a Guide of the association « Scouts and Guides of France ». It’s a movement where we can play together, learn to cook… Every summer, we have a camp during a few weeks in the nature. We make all we need for eating, toileting, sleeping… We have to respect the place we live.
I am very happy to do this experiment with you (from the 18/02/2012 to the 25/02/2012). My grandparents live in the Lot, a Gignac, near Souillac. I love this region.

Bastien, 16 ans, Bonjour,Voici le compte rendu de ma semaine chez les L. qui c'est très bien passée. Les L. ont étés très sympathiques. Le matin, nous faisions des leçons d'Anglais avec M. et l'après midi nous faisions des activités diverses. Tous les soirs je regardais un film et le lendemain je devais le leur raconter.

Cette semaine a été plutôt agréable.

Je voudrais reprendre des cours d'anglais, sous forme de petits stages durant les vacances.

Durant ce séjour d'une semaine, j'ai pu améliorer mon anglais tout en m'amusant et en découvrant de nouvelles choses et de nouvelles personnes.  E.  m'a fait visiter plusieurs villes historiques dont Rocamadour : la cité du pèlerinage et du fromage. J'ai aussi visité les villes fleuries, je les ai préférées au reste. Le soir, j'aimais aider mon hôtesse à préparer à manger, j'adore cuisiner ! Nous regardions des films en anglais sous-titrés en français. Je n'ai pas eu le temps de m'ennuyer une seconde. Même, un soir, E.  et moi sommes allées à un concert dans une église. Étant moi-même musicienne (je joue du piano), j'ai tout particulièrement apprécié ce moment et je remercie encore une fois E.  pour son accueil chaleureux.

Charlyne, 13 ans, découvre l’immersion...Bonjour madame Herail Nous voici de retour à Lyon et comme convenu je vous fais un petit retour sur l'immersion de Charlyne chez M. et M.D'après M. ce fut très difficile à l'oral pour Charlyne car beaucoup de mal à comprendre. Elle l'a fait travailler à l'écrit et ça allait un peu mieux. Il faut donc que Charlyne travaille beaucoup plus son anglais. Sinon elle a passé un très bon moment, et M. et M. m'ont dit que c'était un amour de petite fille. Cela fait toujours plaisir à entendre. Nous leur avons dit que nous souhaitions qu'elle revienne fin aout et je vous tiendrai informée sur ce point rapidement.Je vous laisse avec Charlyne pour qu'elle exprime son ressenti.Bien à vous. Laurence Bonjour, j'ai adoré le séjour cher M. et M. c'était vraiment super on a bien rigolé ils sont super accueillants . J'ai eu par contre des difficultés a l'oral, du coup j'avais du mal à parler .Leur fils est super gentil il m'a bien aidé . Nous sommes allés visiter le moulin de filature c'était vraiment intéressant, puis nous sommes allés a rocamadour .Vu que j'avais du mal a parler a l'oral M. m'a fait faire des exercices à l'écrit pour voir si je m'en sortais bien  Voila en tout cas c'était bien j'ai beaucoup aimé Charlyne..

What a delightful young man!  we gave him a lot of vocabulary, practice in sentence construction and conversation, and encouragement and help with his pronunciation.
He seemed very much at home and was clear about what he liked and what he didn't enjoy. He tried lots of new foods and joined in conversations with our friends. He translated for us when we took delivery of our 'logs for the fire'. He baked Christmas cookies for his family and helped us prepare for a party we are holding tomorrow for our 'hameau'! SO, I think that you can see that he used the english skills that he already had and improved significantly in every area. We sent him home with the file of work that he had done including DVD reviews and vocabulay exercises.
We loved having him!
